Emergency Care
We realize that
emergency situations do arise and we will do everything possible to respond to
your problem as quickly as possible. If an emergency arises during office hours
please call the office as early in the day as possible. This will give us the
greatest opportunity to respond that same day. If your emergency arises while
the office is closed, please call (810) 733-7120. An answering machine will instruct
you how to contact the doctors or forward your message to a dental colleague who
is on call. Insurance
If you are covered
by dental insurance we will file your insurance claims as a service for you. However,
please remember that your insurance is a result of
a contract between your employer and the insurance company. We do not determine
the amount of coverage you will receive. This is done by the insurance company,
and most insurance policies do not cover the entire dental bill: they have built
in deductibles, CO-pay, and / or percentage allowances. It is the patient's responsibility
to pay the deductible, CO-pay or any other balance not paid by the insurance company.
Some insurance companies have a history of inconsistent or unpredictable reimbursement
policies. In these cases the patient will be asked to pay our office for the entire
bill and they will receive reimbursement directly from the insurance company.
Please remember the ultimate responsibility for payment of services is yours.
We will, as a service to our patients, bill the insurance company. Some insurance
companies have a history of inconsistent or unpredictable reimbursement policies.
In these cases the patient will be asked to pay our office for the entire bill,
and they will be received reimbursement directly from the insurance company.
Fees / Payments
We are making
every effort to control the rising cost of dental care. The preparation of statements
is very costly due to supplies, postage and staff time. Consequently, we now require
payment for treatment at the time of your visit. Should
your care involve more complex procedures requiring multiple visits and obvious
higher fees, you will be given a cost estimate prior to treatment and asked to
make financial arrangements. We do expect payment in full on all accounts at the
conclusion of treatment. No appliance (crown, bridge, partial, denture, implant,
etc.) will be delivered until the balance is paid in full. An itemized statement
will be provided as you leave the office. It has never been Dr. Werschky's policy
to deny any care for lack of financial means. However, definitive arrangements
must be made in advance of treatment. We will be happy to arrange a treatment/payment
plan specifically for you. We have also partnered with CareCredit to provide you
with long term payment options. We will employ a collection agency or small claims
court only as a last resort to receive payments due to this office. Please feel
free to discuss your treatment and fees with us at any time. As an additional
payment option, we gladly accept VISA and MasterCard.
Prescriptions
We do not give
prescriptions over the phone or after hours to people who have not previously
been seen in our office and are not patients of record. We also will not write
prescriptions of patients who have only been treated for previous emergency care
without continuos preventative follow-up. However, if you're a regular patient
we will do everything in our power to relieve any dental discomfort you may have. Recall
We believe in
the importance of regular preventive dental health care - cleaning, examination,
radiographs. These services are needed to safeguard previous dental treatment,
detect developing problems and insure good dental health, function, and appearance.
The responsibility of returning for this preventative service lies with you. Our
procedure is to schedule your recall visit as the conclusion of your current appointment.
We will notify you in advance of the scheduled appointment. If you are unable
to keep the appointment, please contact the office and reschedule an appropriate
appointment. |
